Are children allowed to visit Calma Beach Club ?

Yes we are very child friendly! We have a kids menu available all day and our shallow beach is the perfect place for children to swim. Please just be conscious that there is no lifeguard on Holetown Beach and there are some motorised boats and jet-skis around, so always exercise caution.

We pride ourselves on being one of the only places in Barbados to offer both a Gluten Free and a Vegan Menu, on top of our regular menu. Please always make your server aware of any allergies and intolerances. Please also note that both our kitchen and bar are very small and whilst we do everything we can to ensure complete safety of our guests, we cannot rule out the possibility of cross-contamination.

Can I bring my own food/drinks if I am on your sun-loungers?

Our sunloungers are part of our restaurant so we don't permit you to bring in outside food or drinks to your lounger, just as you wouldn't to a restaurant.

You are welcome to bring in a bottle if you'd prefer, we charge a corkage fee of $50 per bottle.

Do you offer watersports and snorkels etc ?

We don’t have watersports available to rent from Calma Beach Club, but there are plenty of independent licensed beach vendors and motorised boat operators on Holetown Beach that can provide you with an array of watersports. Please just be aware that Calma Beach Club accepts no responsibility for any injury or damage that occurs.

Does the service charge go to the staff?

Yes, 100% of the service charge that is added to your bill goes to the staff. This is split equally between all our staff, from cleaners to kitchen porters, to chefs and food runners. This also includes tips added to your credit/debit card payment, should you choose to do so.

If your server or bartender, or any member of staff for that matter, has done a particularly good job and you wish to show them some extra appreciation, cash tips are kept by the individual and are always welcomed.

We are situated on a public beach and share our parking space with the local beach vendors, fishermen and the occasional boat! This means that parking is extremely limited and at times cars can get blocked in. There may be some spaces available but we do recommend arriving by taxi, or parking in Holetown and making the short walk down First Street.
